Help Cathy & Friends in Tallahassee

Together, we can make medical cannabis legal in Florida by July 2014. As most people know by now, I have Lou Gehrig's disease- a normally fatal neuro-muscular disorder that usually kills within 3-5 years. In 1989, I discovered that cannabis stopped the progress of my disease. Today, I qualify for Florida's Medical Necessity defense and can lawfully grow cannabis for my medical use.

While cannabis is legal for me, I am not going to stop fighting for other people's right to use it as medicine. Last year, my team spent three months in Tallahassee helping lawmakers and opinion leaders understand the importance of cannabis for people. I need your help to be back in Tallahassee in 2014. We are reaching out to raise funds for me, my caregiver and staff to be in Tallahassee working with the current legislature to assure we can have legal cannabis before November's election.

Medical cannabis isn't just for Lou Gehrig's disease; it is for our veterans with PTSD, our brothers and sisters with traumatic brain injuries, MS, cancer, Parkinson's, epilepsy, glaucoma and so much more. If you are educated on many uses of cannabis, please help us educate ill-informed legislators about this miraculous plant.
