Baby Ethan

Heather Waldrop joined the Elements Massage – Mount Pleasant team in January 2018, right after graduating from massage therapy school the previous month. She quickly became a wonderful addition to the group, consistently at the top of our survey results regarding her performance with clients. Shortly after joining the team she learned she was pregnant with her second child and the rest of the team members took pleasure in sharing her pregnancy for the next 8 months. On August 20, Ethan Waldrop was born via an emergency c-section and unfortunate complications arose that necessitated him having to go on an ECMO machine to aid with his breathing and heart rate. It is unknown how long Ethan will need to remain on this machine but through our hope and prayers it will sustain him long enough for his body to ultimate generate a heart beat and breathe on his own.

This unplanned emergency surgery and require hospital stay will no doubt financial impact Heather and her husband Eric in a significant way. The funds generated will be used to help defray the hospital costs they are incurring for the unanticipated medical care of their son.

The hospital costs will be significant, and Heather and Eric will most likely begin to receive the initial bills within the month. In addition, their son’s hospital stay may not be short term in nature so the impact from this medical help may be felt over the next several months.

Heather has been an integral part of the Elements Team in 2018 and has truly made an impact on clients’ lives through her massages. She has given so much to help others feel better that any support for her in this hour of need would be extremely grateful.

I think we all recognize the financial impact extended hospital stays have on families. To know that individuals would be willing to help Heather, however the amount, would provide comfort to her and her family, as well as to the entire Elements Massage – Mount Pleasant team. We are extremely appreciative and thankful for those willing to provide support for Heather.
