Keep Adam Home

Most of you know our story and our struggle to create a family, but in case you need a refresher, here it goes!


We have been blissfully married for 11 years and have been trying to start our family for most of that time. Unfortunately we have not been able to bring our babies home and as a result we have 4 angel babies.


After much prayer, tears, and talking, we had finally accepted that our family would have to grow in a different way and we started to talk about adoption and look at our options. This decision was not made public at all!


Imagine our surprise when in July of this year we received a call from a friend at church asking if we would be able to step in and help care for their infant grandson. You see, his birth mom is ill and she is not able to care for him properly and take care of herself at the same time. We of course said yes, but never even dreamed of this being a long term thing, we were just excited to have a baby in our home and in our arms.


Adam came to live with us shortly thereafter and has never left. He has become part of our life as if he has always been there, as if he was meant to be there. He is in every beat of our hearts and every breath we breathe. He has made us into a Mommy and a Daddy; a family....he is our SON!


We have since received another phone call, this one not so happy. Adams birth mother is not doing well and the Dr is expecting her condition to continue to decline. Because of this we are perusing an open adoption. Even though it is not how his birth mom, nor we ever thought this would come about, we are all a little excited to make this official. This is where we need you, our loved ones, to help us!



Because we are not blood related we need to go through an adoption agency. This process will cost us about $15,000. We have already met with an attorney and have been told that we need the money upfront before we can even start this part of our journey. Normally we would have time to save and prepare, but because of the heath issues Adams birth mom is faced with, time is of the essence!


We are asking for two things from you.


First and foremost we are asking you to go before our Lord in prayer; for us, for Adam, and for his birth mom. Secondly we are asking for financial assistance. Every little bit helps. Nothing is too small, nor too big!
