Kenya Fund Me?

Please support me in my trip to Kenya this summer, where I will be volunteering as part of a Women's Empowerment and Education volunteer program. Many of the women I will be working with have been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS, but are still able to continue day-to-day tasks, but need support. I will be providing counseling as well as helping these women and their families develop income-generatiing skills training and education.

While I am entering into my last year of graduate school to become a Clinical and Mental Health Counselor, I am more and more aware of my privileged and "sheltered" lifestyle. I have decided to take this trip to push me out of my comfort zone and broaden my views both personally and professionally. I will be in Kenya for eight weeks, starting June 1st, but will need some financial assistance in getting there. Whether it's $1 or $100, every dollar will help in getting me there and focusing on the things that matter.

The $3,500 includes my flight to Kenya, program fee and the additional items on the wishlist below. I thank everyone in advance for your support and I will be updating everyone throughout the entire experience on this site!
