Family in Need

9 months ago, our family was living the good life. Only one great paying job was needed, we had one kid graduating from high school and heading to college soon, one child in private school and on an elite swim team, and two other happy little boys, one of whom is a foster baby we hope to adopt. Twenty-five hours before Christmas Day 2016, that all changed. Brent, the sole source of income for our family of 7 (including the poodle), received a phone call and lost his job for reasons that made no sense to us. This threw our family into a serious financial strain. After trying for roughly 4-5 months with no avail to find another full time job, Brent finally found a part time job that only covered 1/5 of what our family budget required. With a little one at home, I had already begun to run a home business to try to help out where I could. Still it wasn't enough, and our family was suffering behind fake smiles. Our friends, family, and church have helped out where they could, and every time it has been much needed and appreciated. We have 2 vehicles, both of which are older, and we seriously need your help!  Approx. a month ago one vehicle died on the highway and is now needing about $6,000 in repairs.  We are stuck with one car, which has almost 200k miles on it and isn’t in great shape.  As humiliating as this is, I am asking for help. This is not my style, and it is incredibly embarrassing to us, but our family needs help. If you can donate any money to the cause of helping us to either purchase another vehicle or fix the other one we have, it would be greatly appreciated.
