My name is Lisa and my daughter is going through tough times. To help her, I have created a GoFundMe page in the hope your compassion will assist in her situation.
Let me tell you her story, my daughter has 2 beautiful children, her first born is 5 years old with autism, the care is intense and challenging. Her second child is 2 years old and so far seems to be without any concerns. Last year she became pregnant and was informed by her doctor at about 6 months, that there was no fluid in her sac and the baby would not survive. Unfortunately knowing this, she had to carry her baby full term, by Gods grace, we survived this devastation. Engaged to be wed, however, things didn’t work out between her and her fiancé and she have to find housing for her and the children. She’s been back and forth in court with child’s father on custody issues. He is putting my daughter thru hell mentally and emotionally. They have a court order specifying what days they each have the child, however, on several occasions he would not return the child which led to the police being involved and every time we see him he has new bruises on his face which we have documented. I advised her to reach out to legal aid for assistance. She is having emotional breakdowns every time she has to deal with him because he is verbally abusive. My grandchild receives monthly benefits from the state which assists her with living expense, unbeknownst to my daughter he went to the Social Security office and showed them the court document that states their shared custody days and because he has the extra day they cut her benefits and allowed him to start receiving the payments.
My daughter was informed of this by mail 3 days before her rent was due. So now she can’t afford her rent this month. When it rains it pours, she just received her car back from being in the shop for months and lastly due to the pandemic she can’t find work. My daughter is pursuing her dream as an independent consultant where she does hair and makeup but hasn’t established enough clients to cover her cost of living. She is very talented and we believe that this will be a thriving business in her area and after the COVID-19 pandemic is under control we know her business will take off. There is a demand for weddings, proms, engagement photo shoots, graduations, anniversary parties and other special events.
Your monetary donation from this fundraiser will help her in her time of need for living expense and to obtain a lawyer with hopes of having full custody of her child.
