Bali Village & Education Fundraiser

My partner and I will be visiting Bali from 17th June - 1st July 2018. During our stay we have organised with a local driver to visit one (or two depending on how much we raise) villages and schools that desperately need assistance.If you look online there are many orphanages, charities etc set up where tourists can visit and donate. This is great, however, often many who are equally in need of help go ignored. We have chosen to work with a local who works for Aussie’s living in Bali who can direct us. Like us our gorgeous guide/driver Grumpy believes that more than clothes and toys children need to be educated for communities to flourish. Our aim is to supply the school children with basic necessities such as notebooks, pens, backpacks and general learning materials that we take for granted. If enough money is raised we would also like to be able to supply non-perishable items along with fresh produce and basic clothes (t-shirts, shorts, shoes). If this can be extended to the rest of the village that would be fabulous but for now our aim is to brighten the day and the future of children who expect nothing. In addition to the above we have also been working hard to source spectacles from various family, friends and local optometrists to supply spectacles for the John Fawcett Foundation http://johnfawcett.org Thanks to some amazingly generous folks and companies we will be able to provide them with over 50 spectacles! Childhood blindness is a passion close to my heart so I am thrilled that we have succeeded in organising this!If you are able to donate even $5 to help us raise funds for children’s education in Bali that would be greatly appreciated.
