Help Kathy with Medical Expenses

We are reaching out to let you know that we are starting this campaign to help Kathy Wood Hendrix and we need your help!

Kathy is a lifelong resident of Waycross, Georgia and a 1985 graduate of Ware County High School. Anybody that knows Kathy is aware of her kind heart and giving nature. She will do anything to help someone and never asks for anything in return. Well, given her recent circumstances, she now needs Your help!

Some of you may have heard that Kathy was diagnosed with Covid-19 on August 30, 2021. She spent the next 74 days in the hospital, starting in Waycross, then transferring to Jax Memorial, and ending up in Brooks Rehab. She was released to come home on November 10, 2021. The effects of her illness have been devastating, to say the least. We don't even know how to explain the condition that she was left in after Covid-19. Imagine waking up not knowing where you are and not being able to move from the neck down and not being able to talk. Then, imagine not being able to feed yourself, bathe yourself, scratch your itches, and move without assistance. All the things we take for granted everyday have been taken from her! With the physical therapy and speech therapy she received at Jax Memorial and Brooks Rehab, Kathy has regained some movement in her arms and legs and is now able to talk. She still needs a lot more therapy. Kathy is getting stronger day by day but she has a long road ahead of her!

We are asking ,on Kathy's behalf, for your financial help with her medical expenses that are not covered by her insurance. Our goal is to raise the entire $20,000 to lessen her medical expenses.
