Brian McDonnell had a passion for Haddonfield Lacrosse. He loved watching his son John, now a varsity alumnus, play. He loved coaching youth lacrosse, and odds are you could often find him in the stands cheering on any Haddonfield team. He was a husband and father of three, a friend to many, a founder of Haddonfield Youth Lacrosse and a respected member of the Haddonfield Community.
Haddonfield Memorial High School Boys Lacrosse has a goal to carry on his legacy by establishing an annual scholarship that recognizes one Senior boy lacrosse player and one Senior girl lacrosse player who exhibit Brian’s character and passion for the game.
The Legacy Run, first organized last year after his passing in 2021, will be the event that helps us to establish a permanent trust to ensure Brian's legacy will continue for years. With this trust, two Senior lacrosse players can be recognized every year for their outstanding contributions to the Haddonfield community both on and off the field.
The Legacy Run will take place this year on Sunday, June 5th at 9:00 am. A 5K race and 1-mile fun walk are the center of the event. T-shirts will be available for purchase.
We are asking for your support by participating in the run, making donations, and providing sponsorships for the opportunity to be recognized at the event.
Individual Donations can be made here or in the form of a check to Haddonfield Lacrosse Boosters.
Sponsorship levels include:
Platinum: $1000+ A LARGE company logo/name on the back of the shirts with an advertisement on our website or a promotional banner at HMHS stadium during lax season.
Gold: $500+ A MEDIUM company logo/name on the back of the shirts with an advertisement on a website or promotion post. Possibly a mixed banner shared between donors.
Silver: $150+ A SMALL company logo/name on the back of the shirts
Bronze <$150 A mention of one of your products or services in the opening announcements of the race (could give a deal/discount/anything that can be advertised through us)
