About me and my family:
Thanks for visiting my donation page. My name is Charles Cho and I grew up in Chappaqua, NY. I have two sisters; Christine (17) is a senior at Horace Greeley High School and Cheryl (21) is a senior at Cornell University. I am 24 years old and reside in New York City and currently work in the financial services industry. I live with three of my closest friends from Grafflin elementary school and enjoy working out and catching up with friends.
Why Donate?
As some of you know, my wonderful mother Rose Gabon Cho grew up in the vicinity of Tacloban & Samar Philippines. Our family and neighbors' homes were completely wiped out by Haiyan and we need to help them. Many of our friends and relatives live in areas that are more devastated than Tacloban and not showcased by the media. Your help will be personally acknowledged from those victims and they will not forget your help.
Where does your contribution go?
When we close down the site for donations, we will then withdraw the total amount less the 5% fee that GoFundMe charges to maintain the site for its daily operations. The remaining funds will directly be allocated to our family and friends in Tacloban & Samar. This money will enable our friends and family to rebuild what was lost - clothes, food, water, books, etc. Please feel free to contact me via e-mail, phone, or text at any time.
