A year ago, we adopted Roxie from the shelter. She quickly became the sweetest part of our family, always wagging her tail, giving kisses, and making our days brighter. Roxie just turned 3 years old, and we thought we had so many healthy years ahead of us with her.

Unfortunately, we recently got heartbreaking news: Roxie has an ectopic ureter, which means one of her ureters (the tube that carries urine from the kidney to the bladder) is not connected properly. Instead of draining into her bladder, it drains somewhere else, which causes her to constantly leak urine. This condition can’t be fixed with medicine alone and it requires surgery. Without it, Roxie will keep struggling with infections, discomfort, and a much lower quality of life.

The surgery she needs is urgent, and the estimate came back at $7,000. We love Roxie so much and want to give her the happy, healthy life she deserves, but this expense is more than we can handle alone. That’s why we’re reaching out for help.
