Mark Atwater, reached our goal, let’s keep it goin

On September 29,2023, Mark was involved in a horrific vehicle accident. He hit the median and his dog truck rolled 3 times, resulting in a engine fire and 3 dogs being ejected from the kennel boxes. His good friend Jennifer was following behind and witnessed this terrifying scene with her dogs on board as well.

Mark was taken via ambulance to emergency. He received a bad laceration to his head, a concussion and a broken cheek bone. Unfortunately, his beloved “Pearl”, did not survive and the other two dogs were taken to a nearby veterinary hospital, where they remain in “guarded” condition.

As we all know, Mark’s profession is photographing our wonderful dogs in many forums and venues as well as his wonderful workshops.

Due to the fire in the engine, the water used to put it out along with the mixture of diesel and other fluids, a lot of what he uses for his craft was destroyed.

At this point the dogs are still in veterinary care and the costs can only go up. And we all know, Mark and Jennifer will do anything for their dogs.

Mark is also a competitor, and a good portion of his training equipment and things he uses to travel the country, were spread across the Highway. His truck and dog box are a total loss.

Mark has always been there to record our most favorite memories, I ask that we all be there for him now in this great time of need and support.
