Habitat 4 Humanity LA Spring Break Trip
Donation protected
I am part of the University of Connecticut's Habitat for Humanity Chapter. Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to eliminating homelessness by building simple, decent and affordable housing around the world. This year I have been selected to spend my spring break in Los Angeles, California working with Habitat for Humanity to achieve their mission by building homes.
Every year the University of Connecticut chapter sends 10-15 members on the Habitat for Humanity Collegiate Challenge during spring break. Over the years UCONN students have built homes in: Little Rock, Arkansas, Beaumont, Texas, Denver, Colorado, and Gulfport, MS. Now it is my turn to help those in need in Los Angeles, California and I could not be more excited! Volunteers from previous trips have described to me the incredibly rewarding and memorable experiences they all had and now I have the opportunity to do the same.
I need your help though! I am trying to raise money to help fund my alternative spring break trip to LA covering expenses such as airfare, gas, ground transportation, and food. A donation of any size will be greatly appreciated and help my journey be a successful and memorable one.
On Sunday March 16th, 2014 bright and early, I will be among fifteen students traveling to LA to represent UCONN's Habitat for Humanity Chapter. I hope you can help me achieve my funding goal and be part of this once in a lifetime experience with me. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me! To learn more about Habitat for Humanity at UCONN, you can visit www.habitat.uconn.edu or like us on Facebook.
Every dollar makes a difference; help me change a family's life as well as my own. Thank you very much for your support!!
