It is no secret that I love Hillsdale. Of the many higher education institutions I have attended, none has had more impact or prepared me better for life than this college beside Interstate 35. In my travels, friends and alumni of Hillsdale tell me stories of their affection for the college. I would remind you that Hillsdale is still a place where a dedicated Christian staff challenge and mentor students during a critical stage in their lives.
Hillsdale strives to be a distinctive Christian college where students are challenged to serve Christ in any career or place where they find themselves. We need to invest in technology and teacher education to improve student preparation and expand opportunities to serve in significant ways.
December completes the 55th year for the Hillsdale, which was founded in 1959. I am asking every friend of Hillsdale to join me in giving a special end of the year gift of at least $55, in honor of this anniversary.
We want to finish this year strong. It will require broad participation to succeed. There has never been a greater need for students to be challenged to live a life that makes a difference for Christ in the Church and community. Without the support of people, just like you, who believe in Christian higher education this would not be possible.
