Richard Mcdonough, a Irish American from NYC and a former NYC Transit Policeman is now located in Orlando Florida working for Hello Florida, a division of Mears Transportation. Rich is the sole provider for his four grand-children and son.

Richard was diagnosed with stage four throat cancer in July 2013.
Richard completed chemo therapy in October 2013 and is now under going radiation therapy for seven weeks.

Richard has no insurance and is currently unable to work. Medicaid kicked in back in July 2013 and has aided Richard with his medical bills. But due to his therapy, Richard is unable to work.

The employees of Mears Transportation have opened their hearts up to Richards plight. Richard needs help with his monthly income and medical bills as well as help with the grand-children's Christmas.

Richard is respected by his family, friends and community for being a stand-up gentleman that is always extending a helping hand to those less fortunate.
