Charlotte was 16 when diagnosed with a grade 3 brain tumour, an Anaplastic Astrocytoma with spinal diffusion, on the 18th July 2013. Her tumour was on the brain stem, so it was inoperable. She had the standard NHS treatment: 32 days of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, Temozolomide.

In July 2015, her tumour mutated to a deadly grade 4 glioblastoma, a terminal brain cancer. She died on the 24th February 2016, aged 19 years and 5 days. From diagnosis to death, Charlotte lived 951 days.

On the 12th July, as part of The South Downs walk, we will be joined for some of it by the best selling crime novelist, and Charlotte's BAG patron, Elly Griffiths.

Miles and I will also be walking from Sunday the 2nd August until Friday the 8th August. We will be walking the Jurassic Coast Walk. On Tuesday the 4th August, we will be joined by Matthew Wright (The Wright Stuff & LBC Radio), a charity patron, as we walk from Seaton to Seatown.

Elly and Matthew both knew Charlotte. Charlotte appeared twice on The Wright Stuff.

Charlotte’s BAG stands out as a charity with a difference. The big difference with our charity is that we self-fund. 100% of donations go directly to research at Charlotte's Lab, King's College Hospital, London. We take no salaries, nor overheads. We do not sell merchandise, nor do we spend on advertise. We have just the story of a brave and wonderful young woman shared through her YouTube channel. We pay our own expenses, including PayPal & PO Box fees, so your donations truly make a difference. To date we have raised over £319k.
