$500 for turning 50!

I’ve decided the best way to celebrate my50th birthday is to give back to a place that provided a great resource for my Family.  Many of you know my wife Julie was diagnosed with cancer while she was pregnant with our daughter faith in 2008.   Julie lost her battle in 2018 but in those 10 years she fought to make the most of that time raising our girls and making memories to be treasured for them, all of our relatives and friends.    During her pregnancy Julie began to frequent the Wellness House in Hinsdale IL.   The Wellness House was a great place for Julie to learn more about her cancer and more so what she could do to keep herself healthy in her mind and her body.  Over the years our whole family benefited by enjoying a family art class, cooking classes, the girls went to a summer day camp and we enjoyed many other special days.  Julie would tell you she felt a special connection here that would always lift her spirit.   

So this year for my 50th birthday I’ve set a fundraising goal of $1,000.  I’m going to put up the first $500 for my 50 years I’ve been blessed with.
