Volunteering in Cambodia
Donation protected
Hello! I'm Chloe Roberts
Volunteering abroad has always been a dream of mine. Here I am finishing my first year at university, knowing I want to make a positive difference. It feel it is the right time to follow my heart and finally realize my dream. "Reach Out Volunteers" offers me the perfect opportunity to fulfill this. This summer I will be heading out with the volunteer program to Cambodia for two weeks.
The first week I will spend in a small village near Siem Reap where I will work along side the villagers - most of whom live on less than two dollars a day - as they strive for a better future. I will be teaching English at the local school - where children want to learn the language to be able to work in the tourism industry, building homes for families in need and immersing myself in the Cambodian culture.
The second week I will work at an elephant sanctuary where mistreated and unemployed elephants are given a second chance at a normal life. Here I will be building shelters, caring for the elephants and participating in conservation efforts to protect the jungle.
Reach Out Volunteers is a non-profit organization that gives individuals like me the opportunity to participate in life changing experiences. They strive to change the world one village at a time. The only way we can hope to make a change is by taking action. I am tired of waiting around for a change and I am honoured to be a part of this organization. I hope to make a difference by going on this trip and working with my own two hands to build towards a better future.
Nothing is free, I am hoping you would consider participating with me by making a donation towards my trip. You can be assured that your money will be going towards a good cause and will be supporting the amazing work done by Reach Out Volunteers.
Thank you so much for your potential support.
