I am Andy. I don't remember much about what happened to me but they say I was hit by a car and left for dead on the side of the road. A passerby picked me up and brought me to my local shelter. They could tell one of my back legs looked very damaged but when I finally made it in for an xray I could tell by the look on the doc's face that it was even worse. Both of my femurs are broken in multiple places and I have to have pins or plates put in. On top of that, I tested positive for heart worms. I had never even heard of heart worms and I definitely never received any medicine that would have prevented me from getting these worms. Unfortunately for me, I am at a shelter that takes in 250-300 animals per month and they do not have the money to treat me. It was not looking good for me until a couple of volunteers noticed that I am a young, friendly boy who has a will to live and they purposed to raise the funds for my treatment. The treatment estimate is expensive, I'm not going to lie, probably at least $2800. Maybe I'm not worth that much money. Some people might say that but I will be happy to have the chance to prove them wrong. Please help me by contributing whatever you can. Thank you.
