I never imagined I’d be writing something like this. My fiancé, Jason, was recently and unexpectedly diagnosed with metastasized stage 4 colon adenocarcinoma that has spread to his liver with 7 large lesions.Hearing those words felt like the ground was pulled out from under us. We have met with one group of doctors and have one more round on Wednesday . My family and friends have been absolutely amazing during this time .
Jason is my best friend, my rock, and the silliest person you could ever meet. He’s the type of person who would drop everything to help someone else — and now he’s the one who needs help.
Since his diagnosis, everything has changed. Jason is unable to work, and we’re facing overwhelming medical bills, treatment costs, daycare cost and everyday expenses. We’re doing our best to stay strong and hopeful, but this journey is one we never could have prepared for. He will be out of work at least for the next few months. I’m working as much as I can extra as possible .
We’re asking, from the bottom of our hearts, for any help you can give — whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply keeping Jason in your thoughts and prayers. Every bit of love and support truly makes a difference as we navigate this nightmare together.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, for caring, and for standing with us through this. Your kindness and generosity mean more than words can say.
With love and gratitude,
Jason, Jessica, Alexcya, Isabella, and Noah.
