Volunteering in Ghana(Beth & Megan)
Donation protected
Hey guys,
so this year I'm volunteering for my birthday as I want to give back and help make a difference for those in need-
Me, my mum, Megan and Fred will be volunteering in Ghana for 2 weeks in July and I am asking for donations to help me raise as much money as I can to help buy materials for the schools, building work, hospitals...
£100 can complete a whole project, imagine what hundreds could do!! I want to help make a real difference while I'm out there so would really appreciate any donations given.
Your donations will help with-
•Things for the children/resources:
Crayons, coloured pencils, writing pencils, rubbers, pencil sharpeners, glue, sellotape, stickers, cheap note
books, visual cards, maps, posters, story books, felt-tips, colouring books, coloured paper, word search books, sudoku, coloured sugar paper, scissors.. (especially Nursery schools and orphanages are often lacking in materials)
•Other items in need outside of the classroom: underwear, shorts for boys, skirts for girls, girl’s bras and sanitary pads (often girls do not go to school for lack of pads – Tampons are not used in poorer areas). Flip flops, rehydration sachets, painkillers, antiseptic cream and cheap reading glasses.
•Sports equipment such as: footballs, skipping ropes, blowing bubbles, bat and ball, tennis balls...
•Things for building/repair work: materials we will have to buy out there, strong work gloves, clothes for them to get dirty.
•Hospital equipment:
examination gloves, gauze/dressings, plasters, wipes and health insurance for children
As you can see there are so many little things we can buy to take with us & buy out there (building materials) which will make a huge difference more than we could imagine.
Help me raise as much money possible to help those in need in Ghana, I will be very thankful for any donations given.
l will do a blog while we are out there x
Thank you
