Just Trying To Make It

2017 started off well. I had a great job I was good at in car sales, and the love of my life found out she was pregnant. All things couldn’t be better, until I was suddenly terminated from employment at will, only finding out later from Oregon Unemployment office they decided to reorganize everything and I was cut loose. My girlfriend luckily was still employed with her elderly care med tech position and with my savings we held on, until things got dire. My search for employment was hard, the money is saved to move from where we live gone, and forcing us to resign a lease that increased costs once again. I was unable to afford car insurance but had to drive to make it to a new job I finally landed after three months unemployed. The job paid barely enough to get by with roof, gas, and food for the two of us and my oldest 8 year old daughter, but it was better than nothing and promised a $1500 bonus for completing training which would help alleviate things while I earned commission. 3 weeks after the paid training was complete, I got into a car accident that made my car undriveable. I was no longer able to get to work, and the new job cut me loose for understandably not being able to come in anymore. After one month my new daughter was born today, and my oldest birthday is tomorrow. I never received the $1500 bonus, but even that wouldn’t alleviate bills. Luckily I have a second interview for a salary job with bonuses but that money wouldn’t roll in for weeks, and expenses are now. I am trying to sell things I own, my vintage game collection, my gaming PC I built when I had the car sales job and before knowing of pregnancy. But those aren’t going well and as of today my phone service was shut off. It’s only a matter of time before everything else goes sour. We need help. Just to get by until the paychecks begin coming in again from what seems like a sure thing of a job. Any help is appreciated so we don’t end up homeless and can continue to feed our family.
