Help me serve 6 months in Africa!

Hi everyone! I've been accepted to spend 6 months working with children in South Africa starting in January. This is a really exciting opportunity, because I've wanted to do something like this for a long time. I've always been the type of person to want to invest in other people's lives and I think this would be an even bigger blessing to know that there are children in Africa on whom I could make a tremendous impact. As you know, volunteering is a wonderful thing, but it takes funding! I hope you can find a way to donate anything, because anything helps. I'm having to pay for airfare and my program fees which pay for my food and housing, transportation, vaccinations, visa, and travel insurance. It can all pile up quickly, but I know that there are many friends who can see the importance of this kind of opportunity and find a way to help me financially, and I have a short time to raise these funds!!! So even if it's a small amount, every bit counts! In return, if you'd like, I could even send you postcards to keep you up to date with everything that is going on while I'm there! It's my hope and prayer that these children's lives will be affected in a very positive way that not only points them in the right direction and help give them tools that they will use to reach their full potential, but that will also stand out in their memories for the rest of their lives!
