Hi family and friends. For those of you who haven't heard yet, this past Tuesday, October 8^th, my girlfriend's dog, Moxon, jumped up on the couch and landed awkwardly. He let out a howl and cried for a couple minutes, but once Jess settled him down, he seemed to be alright. Throughout the rest of the day and Wednesday, he started to develop a limp and seemed very distant. We awoke Thursday morning to find the little guy with no movement in his hind legs. We took him to the vet, who recommended us to a canine neurologist. The vets determined that Mox had ruptured a disc in his lower spine, causing paralysis in his legs. The vets informed us that he would need to go through surgery, or the paralysis would spread and we'd have to put him down. Through a difficult and emotional process, Jess and I decided that the world isn't ready to lose a dog as great as Moxon. The vets have given us an estimate that the total cost of all procedures would be a little over $8,000.

Normally I hate doing this because there are millions of people all over the world who are way less fortunate than us, but with the recent move to Colorado, an expense this large is not something we were prepared for. Whatever you can spare would mean the world to us as we start the process of getting him back to normal.
