Help Me Cover Rent and Fix My Car

I had originally started this campaign to help raise money for rent and Christmas presents. Now, I'm still behind on rent and my car broke down. I need money to catch up with rent and get my car fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My car broke down the other day and I had to have it towed to my house, where it currently sits in the driveway.

So times are tough. This is not easy to admit. I feel embarrassed writing this and posting it on social media already fills me with dread and a sense of humiliation. We got behind on our bills and now we’re struggling to catch up. Also, all four tires on my car are bad—especially the rear tires, which I have to fill twice a week. I can’t afford to replace a single tire. I’m trying desperately to find a second job but so far I haven’t had so much as an interview, which is disconcerting because this is the time of year many companies are hiring seasonal help. We need to catch up on our bills. The situation is getting dire. We also want nothing more than to provide our kids—the youngest of whom is 17 months old—a decent Christmas. I know we should be thankful for what we have and by emphasizing presents on Christmas we’re instilling capitalism over spirituality and some people will undoubtedly frown on this; but at this rate, we won’t be able to afford any presents. None. Look back on your childhood: how disappointed would you feel if you woke up Christmas morning to discover not a single present under the tree? This is the image I keep imagining: Our kids waking up to nothing on Christmas. Every penny will go toward rent and utilities, replacing the tires on my car, and Christmas presents for our kids.
