Relocate family from Venezuela

Venezuela, a country that was once thriving due to its abundance of natural resources, has for the past 15 years been on the path to destruction, leaving many middle class families on the street and without basic necessities. Since the 1970's some of my family has been living in Venezuela and due to the current political climate, they are desperately looking to leave the country in search for a new beginning.

I am raising money to help them leave the country and move to Spain, where they are also citizens. Any money raised will be withdrawn in my name and wired directly to their son in Spain to help with relocations expenses. This family will be leaving with nothing in their name and will need money to pay  for airplane tickets, rent, food, clothing, medication and other basic necessities.

The family I’m looking to help consists of 4 people over the age 65. My uncle suffers from hypertension and my aunts sister has down syndrome. She needs special care that is unfortunately not available in Venezuela because the of the lack of medications available and specialized medical care. They have been trying to make due under these circumstances, but as they age it is becoming more difficult to do so. 

The country suffers from hyperinflation, making the assets they had worthless. Basic necessities are being rationed and sometimes not available at all. The socialist government has made it impossible for them to sell their assets and leave the country; holding them hostage with no option but to live under these harsh circumstances.

This family is dear to my heart and that is why I am taking my time to at least try and provide a glimpse of hope. Your support will provide so much to a family in daily despair.
