Hi, my name is Kylee, and I’m creating this GoFundMe because the past year has brought challenges that have deeply affected our family emotionally and financially.

In May, we moved from Utah to Texas with hope for a fresh start and a better future for our son. We never imagined what would follow.

In July, all of our belongings were lost.

During our moving process, all of our household items were placed into a storage unit here in Texas. When the movers went back to retrieve everything to deliver to our home, the entire storage unit was empty.

Everything we owned was gone — our home, our memories, our sentimental pieces.

We lost things we can never replace:

What disappeared wasn’t just “stuff.”

It was years of our life, our family’s roots, and the pieces of the people we’ve loved and lost.

We are now involved in ongoing legal proceedings to recover what we can.

Then in September, my father passed away.

While still trying to recover from losing everything in the move, my dad passed unexpectedly. We are now navigating the probate process, which has been emotionally difficult and financially draining.

Trying to hold grief, legal responsibilities, parenting, and starting over from zero has been incredibly heavy.

️️ Starting over from nothing

When our items were lost, we had only what we brought with us in our suitcases. We’ve had to replace basic household items, furniture, clothing, and baby essentials all at once while still managing legal and probate-related expenses.
