As most are aware my Sister's life changed dramatically on Thursday Aug 2nd.
Val had to say "see ya later Babes" to her life long love, and Husband, Jeff.
As with all relationships that span decades, so much of life was lived, shared, enjoyed and mountains of memories were made!
Every one who knew Jeff knew that he was quite the entertainer, loved to make people laugh, was a hard worker and was willing to jump in and help out with any project. He was a great provider!
Unfortunately for Val, she is now left with an income to small to live on. $345 to be exact. Money that is paid to her via Jeff's pension. No, she is not able to collect Jeff's Social security widow benefits bc she is not 60 yrs old. She has to reapply for her own disability which can take nearly, to just over, a year! This depends on the process of moving along in the Social security system.
Val, the woman who jumps to help everyone when they ask....Val, the woman who helped to raise 3 SUV loads of basic need items for our local homeless families, Val, the woman who people go to for information on local jobs, rentals and items for sale in the area... Yep! She needs our help now!
Let's all get together for her, show her the love she has generously given to all of us!
