Micro Preemie Ruby Gollan Needs Help

After years of trying to get pregnant then finally seeing your pregnancy testing say it's POSITIVE! You're jumping for joy and thinking is this really positive and YES it is!! And so the journey begins with baby Ruby. After three years of trying to get pregnant baby Ruby was on her way. You may not know who I am. I'm Carla I'm Ali's sister. I've created this go fund me page for the Gollan family as they need your help. Having a baby is supposed to be the most exciting time of your life for you and your family. And while there still is an exciting time it's also a scary time for our family and the Gollan family.
After about 3 month into the pregnacy Ali was having bleeding from what the Drs. informed Ali was from a polyp and they assured the couple it had nothing to do with the baby. That bleeding was expected and not a concern. Ali was having heavy bleeding on Sept 16th and rushed to the Salmon Arm hopstial and after a quick assesement they did not like what they saw. Ali was already 1-2 cm dilated and membranes were coming out. Pre-term labour had started at 24 weeks and 6 days! The Doctor was quick to start steroid injections to help mature the baby's lungs and prepare for life on the outside. Next Ali was flown to the Vancouver Womens Hospital that night and on Monday, Sept 18th Baby Ruby was born during an emergancy C-section at 4:22pm. Rod was away at work and rushed to Ali and Ruby and arrived the next day. Could you imagne doing this alone?! I couldn't. Ruby was 650 grams at birth and if your not sure how big that is imagine a cob of corn, that's how big is was. TINY. Baby Ruby was out in the real world way too early and now she is fighting for her life.
Ali and Rod will have to stay in Vancouver to care for baby Ruby as she has to stay in the NICU till she reaches her birthweight, which will be in roughly three months (end of December 2017) Baby Ruby was going to be a New Years baby! BUT she decided she wanted to be born in the summer rather than the winter like her sisters.
The famiy is spilt now where Ruby needs them in Vancouver and their other two children are in Salmon Arm. Costs are mounting as they are away from home and have a household in Salmon Arm as well. Currently no one is working so any support that you can give this family would be AMAZING.
