My friends father was in a single engine airplane crash at about 9:20am this past 9/11/2013.
She and her sister live in New York, their father lives in Pennsylvania where he is being hospitalized for burns covering his entire body from the fire that he was trapped in after the plane crashed in Lancaster. Krissy has 2 small children and casually mentioned to me the commute is close to 3 hours from the hospital to her house. Her sister and her decided to get a month to month rental to remain close by their dad in the event of any emergency and to cut the cost and effort of a commute. This way someone would be close by at all times. The rental is $4000 per month and the fuel is...well you know. Until a more affordable month to month accommodation can be found they are working with this number and struggling. I am reaching out as we all live so far away and have busy schedules and cant make Krissy a meal, do laundry, watch the kids, or even physically be there as may help her, instead I thought we as friends could help lift the burden of her knew found expense and facilitate her not having to add work into the mix and let a bunch of little funds from friends alot to a mound that could posssibly put a dent in some of her stress. Together we can facilitate her being able to spend more time by her dad's side and less time wondering how to even get to her dad. PLEASE a dollar here or there or all the coins off your car floor it adds up!
