SUPPORT FOR RANDY

Those of you who know me know that I am a caring individual and like nothing more than to help out my friends, family and sometimes people I don’t even know.  I have some wonderful friends Randy Tate and Carol Adams and right now Randy needs our help. While bowling on Wednesday August 18th, Randy’s left arm started shaking uncontrollably like he was having muscle spasms.  It took about 15 minutes to get him to stop and to straighten out his arm.  He felt fine afterwards except for a little weakness in his arm.   On 11/22/15 he was taken to the hospital near his home where they discovered he had a cancerous brain tumor that was 2cm in size.  He was transferred that night to another hospital for possible surgery.  The tumor was located in the front of his brain and fortunately although cancerous, it was operable.  The problem with this type of tumor is that there is a 99% chance it will keep coming back.  I want to give you a little history regarding Randy and his struggles so it will help you to understand why I am doing this.

In 2007 he was diagnosed with cancer for the 1st time.  He had to have a colostomy bag for a year.  He went into remission but the cancer returned in 2013 but this time it was in his adrenal glands, chest and above his kidney.  He did chemotherapy for 8 months and ended up getting cancer in his spine and went through 14 treatments of radiation.  He was off Chemo and radiation for 4 months until this episode with his arm and the discovery of the brain tumor.  He had his surgery on Friday December 11th and they were able to get the entire tumor. The Doctors said he would be unable to do anything for at least 6-8 weeks. Unfortunately, he is still very numb on his left side and is unable to do anything for himself which of course frustrates him to no end because Carol has to help him with everything. The Doctors say this will go away.  While bathing him, Carol discovered a lump on his chest where his previous cancer was that is the size of 2 golf balls. The Doctors are aware of this but they had to wait for his brain surgery to be done before they proceeded with that.  He is now going to have a PET scan done on his chest and back to see if the cancer has returned but it has not been set up yet.  

I wish I could take away all the pain and suffering that Randy has gone through but I cannot.  The next best thing for me to do is to rally his friends and family to help with his rising medical bills.  Won’t you please help Randy?
