Hello family and friends!
I have the opportunity to travel on a ME to WE Medical Volunteer Trip to the Masai Mara in Kenya this February!
This page is to fundraise for a portion of my travel costs and to support the WE Villages development model in Kenya (which I will be experiencing first hand)!
On a ME to WE Medical Volunteer Trip, I along with a group of 6 other medical providers will have the unique opportunity to visit communities that work with WE Charity (an organization with more than two decades of experience with sustainable development work) diagnosing and providing treatment and care for community members. We will be working alongside Kenyan medical professionals at Baraka Hospital. Before Baraka Hospital was established in the Masai Mara community members had to travel hours to receive medical attention. Since becoming a hospital, Baraka and its medical professionals have delivered over 2,000 healthy babies!
I will be going to Kenya to give back to the community and share my knowledge and practices with the team at Baraka Hospital. However, I will also be going to learn from these medical professionals, get to know them and their culture and bring back these learnings home to share! I strongly believe that we can not only help others across the world but we can also learn form them to make our community a better place!
I deeply extend my gratitude to all who donate and believe in wanting to make the world a better place, and gain life-changing skills and experiences in the process.
