Two Brothers - The Miracle of Adoption

Over the past couple of years Scott and Darlene (already parents of five) became aware of two little brothers who were in a dire situation. Their mother was struggling with severe mental health issues and drug abuse. They have since adopted the two little boys and incurred a substantial amount of credit card debt paying for legal fees. My goal is to help lighten their burden by paying off some of their credit card balance.

Scott and Darlene are amazing parents whose unparalleled devotion to their children is only matched by their capacity to love and care for many little ones.
Shortly after the birth of their 5th child (a son), Scott and Darlene became aware of a little baby boy desperately in need of their help. The 6 month old boy's biological mother was fighting with mental health and drug addiction. Because of his mother's struggles the boy was in grave physical and emotional danger. Scott and Darlene knew that they could love and care for the boy as their own, so they took him in. In time the biological mother wanted no part of the boy and so Scott and Darlene began the process of legal adoption.
Twelve months after the first boy was born (9 months after the birth of their 5th child), the biological mother gave birth to a second little boy. Knowing that there was no way she could care for him, she took the second baby boy to Scott and Darlene. Without having any advanced notice Scott and Darlene gratefully opened their doors to the 2 week old brother of the now 1 year old they had recently adopted. This meant that of the 7 children in the household, the youngest 3 were ages 12 months, 9 months, and 2 weeks. It was a tough adjustment but the new baby was every bit a part of their family as everyone else. As with the older brother, they began the adoption process for this younger boy as well.
The unexpected nature of both of these adoptions have been financially difficult on Scott and Darlene. Scott has steady employment, but the legal fees used up all their savings and required them to take on a substantial amount of credit card debt. You will never hear them complain, to them it's not about the money, it's about saving the lives of these two little brothers who have become a part of the family.
My goal in setting up this page is to alleviate some of their burden. I don't anticipate being able to pay off all of their credit card debt, but at least make a dent in it.
