Dorough Adoption

Dear family and friends,As some of you know, we have been married for almost 3 years and have known one another for 12. We have longed to be parents. Over the course of the last couple of years we have tried naturally to get pregnant and also tried various options of fertility treatments which have been unsuccessful. Doctors have told us getting pregnant naturally is not impossible for us but will be a challenge and rare for complications have been discovered. Through infertility we have learned that we cannot make a baby, doctors cannot make a baby, but only God can in His perfect timing. It was through prayer we felt led in our hearts to stop all medical routes of trying to conceive and to adopt. We know at this point in our life this is where God wants us. We have completed the application process for adoption and now we wait. At this point we are waiting to be matched with a birth mom. This process can take anywhere from 3 weeks to 18months. Once matched, the birth mom is typically 7 months along or further in her pregnancy. We truly believe that God grows babies in a mother’s belly, and sometimes He grows a baby in a mother’s heart. We are excited for this journey God has set out for us and our family. We know God has a baby out there for us and we can’t wait to meet the birth mom and our baby.Adoption can be costly and we are trying to save up as much as possible. Total fees range from $36,000-$40,000 which includes the application process, the adoption, and attorney fees. We are asking for your help in any way to make bringing our baby home a reality.
