Help vulnerable children get mental health care

We have all felt the effects of Covid-19 on our mental health but for already vulnerable children and young people the pandemic can be detrimental to their mental health and lifelong outcomes.

1/8 children between the ages of 5 and 19 will be affected by a mental health issues and a there is an approximate 3 children in every classroom with a diagnosable mental health disorder. Making suicide the biggest killer of under 20s. This already dire situation has been greatly exacerbated by the Covid-19, with some estimates estimating mental health issues in youth have risen by 35%.
Children from the lowest-income backgrounds have double the rate of mental health issues than their wealthier counterparts.

Little Lives UK has an innovative early intervention project to tackle this disparity.  The Someone To Talk To project will bring essential mental health services into schools in areas of London most in need. Including raising awareness, running culturally sensitive outreach and providing free psychotherapy sessions.

This will help children deal with trauma, therapy, anxiety and depression. Helping improve children's confidence, educational attainment and lower their chances of self harm and suicide.

Each £612 provides this vital service for a struggling child.

Be the hero that vulnerable children need by donating and support Little Lives UK to help children live carefree childhoods and bright futures.
