This is korben he is 18 months old. He is such a fighter and has been through so much in his shortly little life. Here is a short description of what is going on with Korben Oct of last year korben was admitted to the hospital for 9 weeks . That’s when he was diagnosed with hyperinsulinism beckwith Wiedemann syndrome and severe neutropenia and the dr who knew nothing about his illness so at the time we were told it wasn’t anything serious. He we sit a year later our baby boy has been fighting for his little life. All because a his dr had no idea just how serious it was. Uncontrollable hyperinsulinism is very fatal. It it has a mortality rate of 85% of children by the age of four. Which is probably the worst news a doctor can tell a mother. So I pray to God CHOP is able to find a way to treat him. We created the go fund so we are able to get him to Philadelphia. They are the only hospital in the nation that has a hyperinsulinism center. His admission date is scheduled for Feb 6 They are our last hope to help our baby boy! We don’t ask for help, but right now we really need help. I hope you can find it in your heart to help us help our baby boy!
