BeDRIVEN for Community and a Cure

Dear Friends and Family,
BeDRIVEN was started 3 years ago by Claire Catanzaro. At the time, she was a 5th grader. Her school bus driver, Jay Middleton, was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.
He was no ordinary bus driver. He brought the community together. He loved the kids, and they loved him right back. To the parents, he was a larger than life character...always with a smile on his face, and a twinkle in his eye.
When the medical bills started to pile up, the community came together in a way that was amazing! A dinner rotation was started, a fund raising party was thrown, and three wonderful kids, Alex Baeurle, Dominick Diangelo, and Drew Moskey, put on a carnival after school to raise money. The bills continued to pile up, as he had limited health insurance, and Claire could not rest until more was done.
With an idea in her head, and some research on pricing, she convinced her parents to print up t-shirts and sell them to raise funds. BeDRIVEN was born!! WIth the community backing her,and all the kids hard at work selling, we were able to gift Jay $10,000.00.
Jay unfortunately lost his battle with Pancreatic Cancer, but BeDRIVEN lives on to do good in the community.
We are planning our second 5K, and 3 scholarships have been rewarded. BeDRIVEN helped fund the Middle School Football Team, and made a sizable donation to the Stadium Lights, for the whole community to enjoy.
We would like to continue to be able to raise funds to better our community, and to do our part in battling Pancreatic Cancer. Although the two causes do not seem to be related, the man we are honoring did so much for the community, and was taken by Pancreatic Cancer, so raising funds for both makes sense!
Since the loss of Jay, many more loved ones have been lost to, or are battling this silent killer. There is so much new research out there that needs funding!!!!!!!
Please help us raise funds to continue giving to our community, and to do our part in ending Pancreatic Cancer!!!
