Arlene M. Brice, 1954 - 2017 age 62 passed away peacefully surrounded by family at 4:44 pm June 27th at Penn Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa. Due to a blood staph infection.
She was born to Joseph and Arneta Sykes August 8, 1954 in Staten Island, Ny. She was the youngest of six children. She was a graduate of Unionville High School class of 1972. She was former President of The Scottish Terrior Club of Greater New York and Editor of the Scotty Scoop for many years. An Award winning Scottish Terrior breeder who finished many Champion Scottish Terriers.
She married the love of her life Gregory, December 16, 1972 and was a proud mother of 2 boys. Arlene truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, dog clubs/shows, and spending time with her Grand children.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Gregory of 44 year's; a sister, Arneta Sykes; Children Daniel and Jamie and Grand Children, Clara Jean, Colin, Sadie and Ella.
Arlene was brought in to Chester County Hospital on Monday June 19th by Ambulance due to hip and back pain, a fracture in her sacrum. She was also diagnosed with a blood staph infection while hospitalized. Eventually septic shock and organ failure from the staph infection set in. She was medivac'd down to Penn Medical in Philadelphia Sunday night June 25th.
Arlene passed June 27th due to a blood staph infection and multiple organ failure. She was surrounded by family. Please keep my Mom, Arlene in your prayers. Her spirit will live on.
