Marg's Treatment

My mother Margaret
Davies was diagnosed with Breast
Cancer in 2007 and last year Oncologists and doctors in Australia told
her there is nothing further they can do to help her beat this terrible
illness, giving her a prognosis of 2 years.
To complicate matters, Mum developed Lymphedema of the right arm following the Lumpectomy operation, and damage to the nerve system in the same arm & hand caused by tumours impinging on the Ulna Nerve in the neck region. This has left her right hand paralysed and in constant pain 24/7 (she is naturally right-handed). Also the cancer has now metastasised to the breast-bone.
Mum's only hope of survival now rests with treatment overseas which requires multiple trips to Germany from Australia. The cost of treatment and the flights to get there are very expensive.
My mother's family and friends know her as a gentle, friendly, hard working and a kind person who loves people, animals and nature. She never complains about anything, including her own plight and always maintains a positive attitude.
