Kayden Begg's HOBY WLC Fundraiser

Hello! My name is Kayden Begg, I am an incoming 11th grader in Rancho Alamitos High School, and I recently attended a leadership conference called HOBY SoCal 2017. Hoby’s goal is to change the world by teaching young leaders about leadership, compassion, and social responsibility. This conference changed my entire world and has allowed my leadership skills and drive for change to grow exponentially. I shared things I had never shared before, learned things I had not ever thought of, and goals previously unattainable came within my reach. Previously, I volunteered at the LGBT center OC and several small organizations. I plan to volunteer at KEEN, OC Rescue Mission, OC Animal Shelters, and wherever I can help. My primary goal for the upcoming year is to complete 150 or more service hours, and I fully intend to do so. I believe that the tools HOBY has given me has shaped me into a present and future leader of our community. To further develop my skills to better serve Orange County, California, America, and the world, I would like to go to the World Leadership Conference in Chicago. My savings will cover my transportation, but to attend, I must fundraise $2000. I believe this conference will not only completely transform my life, but also the future of our community. I have found my purpose, and it is to serve our society as much as I can. The WLC will give me the tools needed to innovate and lead.
