Hilo Rojo - Peru in der Coronakrise

in the north of Peru, in the city of Trujillo, a small local project for families who cannot afford the education of their children has been living for several years. Attending the public schools in Trujillo costs 300 euros a year, which means that many children no longer have the privilege of attending school.
Trujillo, a desert city on the Peruvian coast. Between dust and sand there are improvised huts in which children live who cannot even begin to imagine our world. Here the two teachers, Americo and Rosmery, built a school, a home, a refuge for more than 150 children of the "La Esperanza" neighborhood: the school, Hilo Rojo (the red string) https://www.instagram.com/p/B8czL9oFzYs/. 
Every week, volunteers travel to Trujillo to learn about the lives of these children and their destinies, to take on the role of teacher or educator, to experience extraordinary things in their provisional journey of self-discovery. Extraordinary? I wish! The brown picture of Trujillo, marked by countless unfinished brick houses, streets of sand, tells as many and dark stories. The local newspapers list the crimes of the day before, the taxi drivers think twice about going to La Esperanza.
Hunger, domestic violence, lack of prospects and inadequate hygienic conditions characterize the everyday life of these children. In times of Corona, there is therefore even more need to pinch and scrape. In Peru there is a strict curfew, which makes everyday life not only difficult but also impossible for all families who live from hand to mouth. 5 siblings, who have no more than a plastic tarpaulin as a home, fear for their daily bread. All volunteers have made their way home.
But Americo and Rosmery are trying to make it possible to visit the families at least once a week. With a jeep, packed with food, homework, pens, medical and hygienic care, they bring a spark of hope to the families in these times. Equipped with protective suits, they take the children in their arms and tell them that soon everything will end.
But now Americo and Rosmery are also running out of funds. Last week there was also a break-in at the school. The situation is tense, because the money is running out. The children need our support. I want to help Hilo Rojo from here, from my own safe house. Many people can achieve such great things with a small contribution. We are all in the same boat, but unfortunately the weakest are always hit hardest. Let us make it possible for Americo and Rosmery to continue to provide families with basic food, water and hygiene.

im Norden Perus, in der Stadt Trujillo, lebt seit einigen Jahren ein kleines, lokales Projekt für Familien, die sich die Bildung ihrer Kinder nicht leisten können. 300 Euro jährlich kostet der Besuch der öffentlichen Schulen in Trujillo und damit fällt für viele Kinder das Privileg Schule weg.
Trujillo, eine Wüstenstadt an der peruanischen Küste und zwischen Staub und Sand stehen hier improvisierte Hüttchen, in denen Kinder wohnen, die sich unsere Welt nicht mal ansatzweise vorstellen können.
Hier bauten die zwei Lehrer, Americo und Rosmery, eine Schule, ein Zuhause, ein Zufluchtsort für mehr als 150 Kinder des Viertels "La Esperanza": die Schule Hilo Rojo (der rote Bindfaden) https://www.instagram.com/p/B8czL9oFzYs/. Wöchentlich reisen, nach Trujillo, Freiwillige an, um das Leben dieser Kinder und ihre Schicksale kennenzulernen, um in die Rolle eines Lehrers oder Erziehers zu schlüpfen, um auf ihrer provisorischen Selbstfindungsreise außergewöhnliche Dinge zu erleben. Außergewöhnlich? Schön wär’s! Das braune Bild Trujillos, geprägt von unzähligen, unfertigen Backsteinhäusern, Straßen aus Sand, erzählt ebenso viele und dunkle Geschichten. Die lokalen Zeitungen listen die Verbrechen des Vortags, die Taxifahrer überlegen sich zwei Mal nach "La Esperanza" zu fahren.
Von Hunger, häuslicher Gewalt, Perspektivlosigkeit und unzureichenden hygienischen Bedingungen ist der Alltag dieser Kinder geprägt. In Zeiten von Corona fehlt es daher umso mehr an allen Ecken und Kanten. In Peru gilt eine strikte Ausgangssperre, weshalb für alle Familien, die von der Hand in den Mund leben, der Alltag nicht nur erschwert wird, sondern geradezu unmöglich. 5 Geschwister, welche nicht mehr als eine Plastikplane als Zuhause haben, bangen um ihr tägliches Brot. Alle Freiwilligen haben sich auf den Weg nach Hause gemacht.
Doch Americo und Rosmery versuchen mit allen Mitteln mindestens einmal die Woche einen Besuch bei den Familien zu ermöglichen. Mit einem Jeep, vollgepackt mit Essen, Hausaufgaben, Stiften, medizinischer und hygienischer Versorgung bringen sie den Familien einen Funken Hoffnung in diesen Zeiten. Mit Schutzanzügen ausgestattet, nehmen sie die Kinder in den Arm und erzählen ihnen, dass bald alles ein Ende haben wird. Aber nun werden auch die Mittel bei Americo und Rosmery knapp. Letzte Woche wurde zusätzlich noch in der Schule eingebrochen. Die Situation ist angespannt, denn das Geld neigt sich dem Ende. Und deshalb brauchen die Kinder UNSERE Unterstützung. Ich möchte Hilo Rojo von hieraus helfen, aus meinen vier sicheren Wänden heraus. Viele Menschen können mit einem kleinen Beitrag so Großes erreichen. Wir sitzen alle im gleichen Boot, doch leider trifft es die Schwächsten immer am härtesten. Lasst es uns möglich machen, dass Americo und Rosmery weiterhin die Familien mit grundlegenden Nahrungsmitteln, Wasser und hygienischen Mitteln versorgen können.

en el norte del Perú, en la ciudad de Trujillo, vive desde hace varios años un pequeño proyecto local para familias que no pueden permitirse la educación de sus hijos. Asistir a las escuelas públicas de Trujillo cuesta 300 euros al año, lo que significa que muchos niños ya no tienen el privilegio de asistir a la escuela.
Trujillo, una ciudad desierta en la costa peruana. Entre el polvo y la arena hay chozas improvisadas en las que viven niños que no pueden ni siquiera empezar a imaginar nuestro mundo.
Aquí los dos maestros, Américo y Rosmery, construyeron una escuela, un hogar, un refugio para más de 150 niños del barrio "La Esperanza": la escuela Hilo Rojo https://www.instagram.com/p/B8czL9oFzYs/. Cada semana, los voluntarios viajan a Trujillo para conocer la vida de estos niños y sus destinos, para asumir el papel de maestro o educador, para experimentar cosas extraordinarias en su viaje. ¿Extraordinario? ¡Ojalá! La imagen marrón de Trujillo, marcada por innumerables casas de ladrillo sin terminar, calles de arena, cuenta otras tantas y oscuras historias. Los periódicos locales enumeran los crímenes del día anterior, los taxistas se lo piensan dos veces antes de ir a La Esperanza. El hambre, la violencia doméstica, la falta de perspectivas y las condiciones higiénicas inadecuadas caracterizan la vida cotidiana de estos niños.
En tiempos de Corona, hay por lo tanto una falta de todo. En Perú hay un estricto toque de queda, lo que hace que la vida cotidiana no sólo sea difícil, sino también imposible para todas las familias que viven a salto de mata. 5 hermanos, que no tienen más que una lona de plástico como hogar, temen por su pan de cada día. Todos los voluntarios han vuelto a casa.
Pero Américo y Rosmery intentan que sea posible visitar a las familias al menos una vez a la semana. Con un jeep, lleno de comida, deberes, bolígrafos, cuidados médicos e higiénicos, traen una chispa de esperanza a las familias en estos tiempos. Equipados con trajes protectores, toman a los niños en sus brazos y les dicen que pronto todo terminará. Pero ahora Américo y Rosmery también se están quedando sin fondos. Última semana también hubo un robo en la escuela. La situación es tensa, porque el dinero se está acabando. Los niños necesitan nuestro apoyo. Quiero ayudar a Hilo Rojo desde aquí, desde mi propia casa segura. Mucha gente puede lograr cosas tan grandes con una pequeña contribución. Todos estamos en el mismo barco, pero desafortunadamente los más débiles siempre son los más afectados. Hagamos posible que Américo y Rosmery continúen proporcionando a las familias alimentos básicos, agua e higiene.
