A call from the Family who is distressed due to the below problems:

We ask for your help to a family whose five children from 5-27 years of age are deaf and mute. They were all born in the village of Akurur, Zoba Debub, Eritrea. The children and their mother (Freweini Tewelde Mahrai) are in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to receive medical attention. Their mother, Freweini, also has breast cancer because she worries about her children’s future. The prognosis of the children receiving cochlear implants has been promising.

However, medical expenses for six family members are prohibitive. The

family is impoverished and depends on outside donations and family contributions for their daily living away from their home village. According to the medical assessments, the siblings can have a better outcome if the procedure is done abroad, namely, in Western Europe or North America. Therefore, we kindly request financial donations for their medical treatments and basic living expenses abroad.
