Helping Harry

Please read this story of a wonderful  
family who have been through the
unimaginable. I’m writing on behalf of my
friend Kimberly, her husband James and
their 3 year old son Harry.
I’m raising money for a helping hand, for
travel, living costs, having to stay away from home due to Harry’s treatment in QMC Nottingham children’s hospital and while they’re in receipt of sick pay there is no opportunity to find the extra money to cover
their expenses. 

In 2015 Kimberly’s husband James was
diagnosed with stage four non Hodgkin’s
Lymphoma. During James treatment he
contracted sepsis due to his low immune
system as a result of chemotherapy and because of the Severity of the treatment,
James nearly died as his organs where
shutting down. Luckily James managed to
get to hospital just in
time for the doctors to treat him and
save his life. Kimberly and James were told that they wouldn’t be able to conceive due to the Chemotherapy James received.
Kimberly and James married in Vegas and 1 year later a miracle happened and little
Harry was born. James has now been in
Remission for 6 years. 

Harry was a normal, happy 3 year old who enjoyed preschool and playing with his
friends. 

In May this year 2021 Harry was
diagnosed with leukaemia after going back and forth to the doctors with a bad chest 
and breathing problems. The doctors kept
telling Kimberly and James to keep getting a Covid test and that it was a chest
infection. Both Kimberly and James knew
something wasn’t right so they took Harry to Northampton General Hospital to the
A&E department. They took bloods and
found abnormalities, within 24hrs their
world was turned upside down.  

Kimberly and James are heartbroken again and need our help and support to get them through this hard time without having to
worry about travel, overnight stays and
paying for living expenses.
