Funeral expenses

In the face of the most tragic situations and deep sorrow, we have an opportunity to LOVE and SERVE and surround the Colunga Family.

Ashley and Gabe have been together since they were in high school in El Paso, Texas. When they moved to San Antonio, Gabe joined the San Antonio Police Department and their family has served the City of San Antonio faithfully and without pause since 2018. Three years ago God blessed them with their sweet son, whom Ashley called Juni B. Being a mother and beacon of love in their family, was Ashley’s greatest desire. She shared her husband with this city, and cheered him on without hesitation. She was an encouraging, steadfast and tenacious wife, mother and friend.

It is with great sadness that on June 5th, 2023 Ashley passed away unexpectedly while Gabe was at a training for work. The most impossible and chilling news for any officer or spouse to receive.

While Gabe faces the impossible tragedy of losing the heart of their home, we as a community have such an opportunity to love, serve and support them. Donation funds will be used for everything from funeral expenses, to household adjustments, and assistance to Gabe in raising their son. Thank you so much for your love and support at this time.
