Food Security & Microcredit in Uganda
Spende geschützt
Hello!
In September I have a chance to travel to Uganda and put my skills and training to work for the Women's Global Empowerment Fund (WGEF). WGEF is a Denver-based organization that provides microloan, education, healthcare, and leadership training programs for women in the Gulu area of northern Uganda. With only 3 staff members, two of whom are Ugandan, they have given loans to over 3300 women in the region since 2008! For two weeks in September and October I will work on projects specifically related to increasing food security and microcredit opportunities for women in this post-conflict area. I am thrilled to support an organization that uses holistic and sustainable approaches to empower women and their communities.
I would love for you to partner with me as I travel to Uganda to serve women who have emerged from conflict to be leaders in their country. Your support is much needed and appreciated! The trip will cost around $2800 and I hope you will consider being a part of this exciting opportunity to support sustainable opportunities for Ugandan women.
Thank you so much for your support and please contact me if you have any questions or would like to hear more about the trip!!
Sincerely,
Alison
