Hello family and friends,
I'm very excited to have the opportunity to travel to Kenya, Africa this August! I will be going for three weeks. While in Kenya i will be working to help better the Maasai Mara community by helping build a school. I believe all kids deserve an opportunity for education, and i am honored to help build a new facility that would enable Maasai Mara children a safe environment to learn in. I will also be experiencing their rich culture, through beading with local "Mamas". One day i will even participate in the "water walk" which is a strenuous hike to a body of water, then to collect a barrel of water and carry it the hike back- a ritual practiced daily for the Maasai tribes people. I expect this to be a humbling experience but also rewarding to get to know i have taken a burden from their shoulders even if for just one day. I will also be learning Swahili so i can communicate with the local tribes. I expect this to be the most arduous and self fulfilling experience of my life so far, and will take pride in all achievements i accomplish that may better the lives of those less fortunate than me. Please consider sponsoring me on this trip, any donation would be greatly appreciated as i am hoping to achieve my fundraising goal. Thank you, and i can't wait to return from my trip with stories and pictures to share with you all!
Sincerely ,
Victoria Brian
