3D Printing Masks & Face Shields for Medical Staff

We all know there is a huge shortage of masks and face shields for our Medical staff. Our goal is to 3D print N95 masks and face shields for our staff here locally.
As a small business owner and my business being declared non-essential I felt helpless watching the news and hearing about Medical professionals being on the front lines of this everyday and all without the necessary equipment to keep them safe. I know we've all seen the images of soiled masks, broken/ripped gloves, and bags over heads to create a barrier. It's heartbreaking and I know we don't have enough words to express our gratitude for these heroes.
With my Gym being closed, I began to utilize my Twitch account (generally a streaming platform for video gamers) to do virtual workouts. I by no means have a large following on there but decided to use the funds from this to find a way to help.
Unique Strength has purchased a 3D printer and filament to begin the project using the funds we raise from our Twitch account, Unique Strength. Give us a follow, it's only $5 and you'll get great workouts while knowing you're supporting a good cause (also free if you have Amazon Prime and you're still supporting).
We are creating this GoFundMe to get assistance in purchasing more supplies and continue printing as many as we can for our Medical staff here in the Valley. I have quick access to a second 3D printer and can get moving on printing more items if we can raise the funds needed.
The funds raised for this will all go towards materials for making more masks and face shields.
About the masks: These are plastic which is great because they can be cleaned with bleach. They are equipped with two layers of filters: MERV 13 filter which trap 98% of airborne particles and one layer of MERV 12 which trap up to 90 % of airborne particles. These masks can be Fit tested and molded to an individuals face using warm water or a microwave. I am following the 3D print drawings and equipment used here to the exact specifications.
These masks are a last resort for medical professionals and by no means am I insinuating use over materials they are provided. However, in the instance where there are no longer materials to use staff will have these available to them. The filters can easily be changed out as well. As I mentioned earlier they can be bleached periodically since they are plastic and not cloth. Lastly, they are sprayed with a sealant to fill any micro holes.
I got this idea from a Doctor from UCONN who began printing 3D masks for use. The CDC is allowing the use of homemade masks AS A LAST RESORT since we are in such a shortage. They also recommend if you must use a homemade mask to use it with a full face shield which Unique Strength is also producing. I have linked the articles below. The CDC is also recommending the use of masks for anyone that goes into public, and with the shortage, whatever is available should be saved for medical staff. These will hopefully help fill a void for our community.
