Help Abigail

Abigail lost her wife just over a year ago. She moved back home afterward and was able to get a job in graphic design in Colorado. Six months after being hired, she was laid off. She had to move to a smaller apartment and take up three odd jobs. She cannot afford her rent and is currently being evicted if we can’t come up with the money.  She is also facing an upcoming surgery. Pretty much life is crapping on her. My mother and I have done all we can, so we need to reach out to family, friends and strangers for help. 

She is isolated in Colorado. Not many friends to create a support structure while she still grieves. We plan on getting her back to Kalamazoo, where she feels at home and has a support system. To do that she needs to pay rent plus fees by the 20th, pay rent next month and pay the fee to break her lease and pay for moving expenses. It is a lot, but life is throwing a lot at her. She is currently using resources such as food banks to survive. This is a desperate situation that warrants immediate help. 

Abby is the type of person that wants to help everyone. She always has. She is highly aware of issues in our society, particularly surrounding the disabled and less fortunate. She has a hard time asking for help, which is why I’m doing it for her. 

I know the holidays are rough on everyone, but please consider making a donation (no matter how small) to give hope to her for the new year.
