CALL TO ACTION:
I am Black queer organizer in the Asheville area. It is no secret that black people are living without their needs being met in this world and we need community care to help dissolve this issue as much as we can. Project Mama is an organization/fund that I am starting to fulfill any need that Black mothers and/or caretakers who are in need. This will not just be monetary compensation. We will be taking care of any need that we can. Rent, utility, self care, groceries, transportation, mental health resources. These needs can not be ignored anymore. The time is up. THERE IS NO APPLICATION PROCESS. IF YOU NEED HELP WE WILL TRY TO PROVIDE AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE.
If you would like to donate any goods or have any resources please reach out as well. SHARE SHARE SHARE!!! this will be an ongoing fund, so that means once we reach our "goal"; the funding should NOT stop. There will always be need for funds and support . This is our new world and reality. Please do your part.
We will strive to be as transparent as possible. I will share receipts of funds that are sent and post them on our social media.
