2024 GC Historical Society Fundraiser

Donation protected
Donating to the Historical Society helps to preserve and share Garden City's past with all of its' residents. As an all-volunteers organization with a focus on Community engagement and enrichment we were hard at work serving Garden City.

In 2024 we hope to expand our programs of community engagement and our advocacy work to draw appropriate attention to the priceless historic significance of our Village.

The Garden City Historical Society (TGCHS) advocates for responsible and affordable preservation of all Historic structures in GC, including the 1872 Apostle House that houses the Garden City Historical Society Museum.

Garden City is unique among all Long Island communities in the number of original buildings that are registered on the National List of Historic Places. It’s a major part of what makes Garden City different and adds substantially to the character and overall property values of the Village. The Village should relentlessly strive to preserve our historic structures. The Village has lost too many valuable structures over the years due to collective indifference. Additionally, the society is a wonderful community resource that welcomes, celebrates, and advances our community's history by involvement and education.

The Garden City Historical Society is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
